Reggie came into rescue from Jacksonville Animal Control. He's a sweet 6 year old boy who is HW positive, not neutered and with limited vision. My adoption donation is $200.
11/23/07 Reggie completed his HW treatment and has tested negative! Reggie has been getting drops for his eyes but still have limited vision. He gets around fine but runs into things when it's dark. He's quiet until someone calls him and he is more than willing to give love to anyone who will welcome it. He gets along with both cats and dogs. He does get possessive of his food so it is best to feed him crated or away from others. He did have an ear infection but looks like it has cleared up. He's due to see our vet to recheck his ears and will be scheduled to be neutered soon.
1/15/08 Reggie will be scheduled with our vet soon to be tested and see if he is HW free. If he is, he will be scheduled to be neutered.
1/25/08 Reggie is now HW Negative! He was just neutered and will be ready for adoption soon. He has limited sight but gets around very well.
1/29/08 Reggie is now ready for adoption!

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!
TAKE A CHANCE ON LOVE…. Times are tough for everyone. Jobs are disappearing, homes lost due to foreclosures, gasoline and food costs are sky-high while salaries stay the same or are decreased. We are all struggling just to keep our heads above water, with no end in sight. That’s the people…think of the pugs.
From January 1, 2008 through June 1, 2008, Seminole County, one of our key rescue counties, took in 1,382 dogs. Of that number, 191 were adopted. 338 were euthanized. 155 were transferred to rescue organizations. 44 died of illness or injury. 135 remain in the County shelter. The rest were re-homed to their owners.
For this same time period last year, take each one of those figures and cut it in half, except for the adoption figure. Add another 103 dogs to that number. That should give you a clear picture of what this recession is doing to the animal rescue situation in Central Florida. But what about the pugs? First, rest assured, that all of the pugs taken into government shelters in the Central Florida area were rescued from those shelters by either Central Florida Pug Rescue, Inc. or one of our sister agencies. The bad news is that many of them, along with other pugs surrendered directly to us, are still in our foster care system.

**We will be at Petco on August 9th which is the 2nd Saturday**
Come join us every 3rd Saturday of the month, we will be at this Petco from 11am - 3pm with foster dogs for all to ooh and aah over. Please join us for some one on one time with our available pugs.
